Cheap durable 2K 2 stage paint?

Used AwlGrip 2 years ago - still looks great. (But I had to leave it in Malaysia - long story there).
Not cheap - and the finish is all about preparation, preparation, preparation.
Which is a lot of persperation! And don't get that in the paint!
Where is it and is Mexico an option for your labor? Or DIY?
Have seen some good 10 foot work using roll-and-tip - still takes preparation and a good 2 sets of hands.
Best of luck - sounds like another money sucking hobby you've got too.
Cheers - Jim

I got a good deal on this boat, I'll prob make a profit on it. Doing everything myself, did all the work on my Vette. ;)

Is that what you used on your 5 . slow?

No, on the Rustang I used PPG Shopline. I used restauration shop base and "kustom" clear on the VW. I only sprayed two coats clear and then waited a month or so, wetsanded again and sprayed two more coats Southernpolyurethane clear.

I have had great luck with the stuff they sell at NAPA and it is really not that expencive. The clear they sell is REALLY hard so should work well on a boat.

I'm wondering if I should fill the bottom of the boat that got all scratched up from sliding up onto the beach. I'm thinking if I fill it it will just crack off and take the new paint with it as soon as I drive it onto another beach. Then again, the paint prob won't last very long on the bottom either way...
