Check out this tablesaw safety device.

Didn't watch the vid but is that the system that stops the saw based on conductivity? That was all the hype here a couple years ago, haven't heard of it since

Pretty cool. A couple years ago the destruction price was over $100,now they have it down to $60. I wonder if damp wood would stop it , that could get expensive ?

Back when I started in the kitchen/interior remodeling business, I met up with a ACE cabinet maker, he still had all his fingers, but when overhauling his Bessemeyer table saw...one of them 5-6? hp 440? volt drive 3 phase things, anyway, that was the occasion he told of Jimmy and Leo getting drunk one night, and so mishandled a 4x8 3/4 sheet of plywood int that saw, the saw sent it through the metal garage door and busted hell outta one of the pickups outside.....

friggin' idiots....

The last saw I seen of that type is down the street here, used to rip a solid mahogany front door, so I could repair it....and hang it on my house...that saw went through almost 2" of solid no bullshit hard Honduran Mahogany like it was butter....:thumbs:

That is just one damn impressive video! Dude stuck his own finger in there, more of a beliver than me but he still has it.
