welcome to VetteMod :hi:

No first hand experience with these coil overs. I just bought a rear dual mount spring and depending on how I like it I might get the front dual mount spring as well.

I assume you're asking about the front coilovers ??? or rear ???

I am running 550 lbs coils and Bilstein shocks and I'm happy with how the car handles compared to stock or the 460lbs springs with KYB shocks - I've had all these combinations on my '79 so this is first hand experience, however based on my opnion and liking. Many others might not like a stiff suspension and prefer stock....

Are you talking about the fronts or rear or both? Van Steel sells QA1 coilovers for the C3's.

I´m interested in both front and rear and I´m looking forward to hear from ¨C3 owners who has changed from standard to coilover suspension

I did on several cars but I built the systems myself. I would go with the van steel kit over the other stuff out there, apart from maybe the jim meyer kit for the front

I've put the VanSteels on my C3...However it (the car) has only been rolled out of the garage a couple times. I'm going w/ the semi-coil overs on the front from VanSteel as well. Really nice stuff- just a little bit of welding the shock mount- reinforcement slides over and just weld it to the frame. The rear comes w/ the offset trailing arms. It was no problem at all w/ the install.

I haven't seen ANYONE complain about the guys at VanSteel-they also did my wheel bearings and bolted it all up to the trailing arms for no extra charge.

is it just the camera angle or is your halfshaft really pointing 'up' ??? Looks like your differential is lower than the wheel bearing ???

Yes...When I first put it on the ground I had the coil overs almost bottomed out- to make the installation easier..

Hi Richard
Really nice work. Why did you choose the semi coils on the front? The trailing arms are they prepared fot the swaybar hardwere? The carbon fiber half shaft´s are they because of a lot of horsepower:amused: If it is possible for you to send me some more pictures of your work( the front, etc, etc)I´ll be glad to look at them and maybee they can give me some ideas for my frame.

Mine looks like that! Haha!

Doesn't seem to be much of an issue though because my suspension is so damn stiff it doesn't throw the toe out that much! :smash:

What's the solution for this again? Get rid of the TAs and link it? ...So many things I need to do before that.
