Computer updates

WTF is it with all of these automatic updates? Adobe flash player wants permission to make changes to my PC. WTF? My PC is fine and I don't want to corrupt it with any new shit but this Adobe damn pop up won't let me work in peace. What do you all do?

Yep. Adobe and Java are important, and constantly revised as data gets more "streamlined."
Flashplayer and Microsoft are also important.

If I wanted to be 'updated' I'd be looking at a C7 or some fancy Audi or something. I'm frigging sick and tired of being forced to 'update' to shit I don't want or need. Every time IT at work 'updates' us it makes it slower and more error prone.

Some time ago, I thought you were correct, but since a later Dell, and a Win7 home addition, the updates seem to go well.....
