Control arm mods for a slammed C3

I finished one side last night...
Here is the ride height I like it to sit at:

The bumpstops were way to close to the frame, and there was not much more shock travel if I shaved the bumpstops. I also couldnt find any shorter body shocks that werent high dollar custom ones.

I cut off the old threaded blocks and made some longer spacers. Its 1/8" square tubing with a stud welded in and boxed. I also had to clearance the rear hole in the arm that the shock goes through.

nice!! certainly cheaper than a new set of shorter shocks :)

Did you cut the inside of the spring pocket? If not, watch for shock contact, you may need to do some clearancing there

The spring pocket in the frame I assume? Ill check it out, but I dont think I felt any contact when going though the suspension travel.

Also... Ive noticed the wear patterns on my tires show that I have a good amount of initial camber. And I know that having it this low is not great for the camber gain, but my tires show that they are scrubbed on the outside from my last auto cross (inside has worn away too much to notice any scrub). Would this say that my initial camber is set correctly? IIRC, right after the auto-x I checked my tires for even wear and they seemed pretty even. I dont really care about tire wear/longevity as long as it makes up for the camber gain lost in the lowering. Am I thinking about this right?
