Convertible top installing

I have done a few C2s and it is an all day affair that is a labor of love to get it right. The designs are very similar. There is a DVD on this for $80 from Paragon or Doc Rebuild but I have never used it. I basically read the OEM service manual and took my time. Aligning and installing the W/S takes as much time as the fabric. The first one I did sits outside all year round under a cover and looks almost perfect 10 years later...

I ordered a internet/ebay top last winter, and it went on the car about 3 months ago, along with weatherstriping.....

I have NEVER seen any convertible top that fit right, except ONE, that is the one that WAS on my '72 here, but it was 25 y/o about 15 of them with me....
the Florida sun took its toll for sure....

the weatherstriping was from Wilcox, and was CRC, apparently the one to get....stands for Corvette Rubber Company, as I recall...

this top looked like a bear to get on, so the guy did it right here in my garage for 150 bux....took like 4 hours....and I had the old shit stripped naked as a jaybird...

THIS internet top is actually too wide, where they typically are scant above the side windows....this one is too lo/wide overall....so I just played with the weatherstiping and window height....PIA....to save money I told the installer I would do that weatherstriping part, except the rear bow on the deck lid...
