Picked up some Corbeau A4's on Monday... I have the passenger side in and it is definitely a tight fit!
I have them mounted on the stock vette seat tracks and they sit way too high (even for a short guy like myself). Im going to modify the tracks to get them to sit lower, but at the current height, they are very tight on the trans tunnel when they are slid forward. If I lower them more, this problem will become even worse when I lower them. Im hoping the drivers side has a little more room by the tunnel.

I was going to buy these A4 seats but then I found these 2005 C6 seats.... do you really need the seat tracks ? So much better fit if you bolt the seats to the floor..... all the way down and all the way back.....

If I ever want someone else to be able to drive the car, then yes I still need the tracks. I need the stock seats all the way forward to depress the clutch all the way comfortably. :push:
Im going to work on the tracks tonight to see what I can do to get them lower, Tall people may be SOL if they want a ride. Good thing I prefer shorter women! :D

Update, and its not a good one...
I finished one track the other night. This is as low as the seat is going to get if you want to have the seats movable.

Heres the stock tracks:

And the lowered ones:

AND THEY ARE STILL TOO TALL!! :banghead: :cussing:
Next step is to see if I can get the local interior shop to shave the foam on the bottom.

not good news but that's my experience with the tracks as well.... I kept the tracks for my C6 seats, maybe one day I'll lower the floor so I can use the fully adjustable tracks...

Corbeau offers a 1" off the lower foam option but they are still going to set high. I made some backing plates and bolted them to the floor, still high. Wait till you go to get out from behind the wheel but they do ride better than stock.

I did some more driving tonight. I adjusted the seat so that Im a little bit more reclined. I think I can make it work how it is now. Ideally, I would have them maybe .75" lower but this is close enough.

Here are some pics to compare the height of the seat bottoms...

The Corbeau sure looks just as low as the stock seat/tracks but it still feels like you sit higher

It sure looks like a tight squeeze between those back bolsters, maybe they are pushing you out of the seat? I don't know if my derrier would fit in them. I used C4 seats in my C3 but I also had to give up the seat tracks.

If they had an extra narrow option, I would have ordered it  Could be a little bit more snug for racing, but for the 90% of street driving I do they are perfect
