crazy red bull

In November of 1991, I was in Bangkok. A Thai cousin of my wife's son, had started up his own business. He would drive to construction sites and sell iced cans of "Red Bull" to construction workers. I'd never heard of Red Bull before. It was a new thing and apparently he was doing a good business selling his drinks at construction sites. Reading the ingredients on the car, I could see B vitamins, caffeine, and sugar. Learning of the supposed benefits of drinking this stuff, I thought it was just all hype. Red Bull was "invented" by a Thai and later when he sold rights to a Swiss guy, the drink has gone international and became quite famous. I've read that for the US market they lowered the sugar content.

Yes Red bull was invented here and a majority share was sold to an Austrian but the Thai family have become very rich in the past 20 years as they have a big stake in the company.
