Credit card app's?

I apologize that this is non-Corvette related but you are a group of people whose opinions I trust. I am ready to start accepting credit cards for my small business and have seen ads for square.com and similar services that utilize your smart phone. I am currently a Verizon customer and have a primitive flip phone which will need to be upgraded. Has anyone had experience with this type of service and what do you recommend? Does this app drive up your phone charges?

On CF on the OT section, there is a fellow who's handle is UTAH..maybe UTAH 99 and so he is in the CC business, so send him a PM, and you get the inside scoop....best I can do man.....I have back channeled with him several times over the years, and he seems like a good man.....

WELL, sorry I forgot to remember.....but if you want, PM/email your addy to me, and I look him up and go email with him, so you bypass the entire CF shituation.....


seems simple enuff.....but like his handle sez, he is in UTAH....so dunno who/what/where he can help.....but certainly in the buzz, he must know someone local to you that CAN......I would hope....

Get quoets from many places, using each quote to get the next guy to go lower. Try signa pay, first data, and end with world pay if you can. I only pay 1.44% and less than 1% for debit cards.
 
Costco is your friend - 1.75%

The app is just an app, you get a snazzy little reader for your phone - I did an entire bike show sales (as in bicycles) with my phone and didn't notice any obscene charges
