dana36 with lower then 3.07 gears?

I' would like to have my dana36 re-geared with around 3.33 or 3.45 gears for my 82. I want to stay away from gas guzzler gears but want a little more off the line power. But how will a 700r4 perform with these gears? I know the 6 speeds have these gear ratios. I've also hear tpi runs out of steam if you get out of it's torque curve to fast. Or should I just stay with 3.07 gears? will my 82 be able to run 1/4 miles times as fast as a 90 corvette or is there a major weight difference?

I just want the car to be capable of low 14's

as long as you're putting an overdrive in it, that reduces your final drive by 10-25% depending on the transmission

Yes it will have a 90 corvette tpi motor and 700r4

Because it is getting 90 corvette suspension.
