E-Bay WOW item

AND to think I knew a guy with about 6-8 of them in his folk's basement.....

Under crime and criminals, mass murderers, do a search for the name William Dean Christiansen he would have been my age, 65....

I never understood the (high dollar) fascination with these things. They were apparently too complicated or finicky for the average Corvette owner, and guys were taking them off the cars in droves. All I see in this ad is a bunch of money for old technology. (Sorry, just the engineer in me.)
My first ride in a Corvette (when I was about seven years old) was in a '63 SWC with FI. I recall the owner ended up swapping out the FI for a carb within a year or so of buying the car.
Amusing to look at, but not my cup of tea.
