Clinging to my guns and religion in KCMO.
Replaced our old computer over the weekend. The new unit came with Microsoft 8 software. I can't effing believe how much I hate the format of the display and software. I'm pissing away more time than I care to admit trying to transfer files and dealing with bs that is incompatible with this software.

Anybody else think MS 8 is a waste?

Just had to vent. Back to screaming at this POS system.

Yes I tried it and removed it after 1 day. Gay tiles, colors and a system meant for a tablet...junk

Every other MS OS is a failure.
There was Windows Millenium, Windows Vista and now Windows 8.
Stick to 7, and switch to 9 when version 10 is out.

I remember reading somewhere that Microsoft would let you downgrade to Windows 7 if you didn't like 8 but that may have been during the introduction period so may not still apply. Worth looking into though if it keeps you from buying a new copy of 7.

The wifes new 'puter came with Win 8. Hate it, what a joke. Looks like they're trying the one-software-fits-all for phones, puters and tablets.
I'm still runnin Win XP. Stable, no probs. And best of all, I tell it what to do, not the other way around.

Yeah, my old computer had XP in it. I could maneuver around in the software to get the stuff I wanted done. This damn Windows 8 keeps thinking I'm trying to play an effing game every time I log in.

I just built a new PC and installed Windows 8 Pro on it.. and I like it. Yea, the tiles took a minute or three to get used to but it's running fine, seems stable so far, and I haven't had any compatibility issues with it. I store most of my media on NAS and it integrated just fine.
