Looks like an awful manufacturing facility. The workers do look well fed and healthy.
I think here in the US, both political parties are really very guilty of the migration of factory work off to China. A defense, as seen here, is that the work is extremely menial and very booring and tedious. I'd really bet that most modern spark plug factories are extremely automated and labor free. Maybe this assembly plant was for specialty spark plugs? I'd guess that most plugs aren't made in factories like this.
it is queit disgusting that people have to work like this but ultimately it's the consumer who makes this happen....
this is not going to be a very popular comment: it's the EU and US consumer who buys that crap at WallyMart and such that makes these things possible .....
I get a kick out of the guys who push a $250 filled shopping cart across the Wally Mart parking lot and bitch about all these US jobs being eliminated.....
if people don't buy this shit it's not worth producing it...... simple as that......
Really the only disgusting thing is that we, here in the states, think hard manual labor is disgusting. A few generations back, our ancestors took pride in it. That's why we need to import Mexicans to "do the work no one else will do".it is queit disgusting that people have to work like this but ultimately it's the consumer who makes this happen....
