[EXHAUST] to 2" or not to 2". that is the question

i just picked up a pair of borla round mufflers off craigslist for a stupid good price. they are used and came off a hyundai tiburon but i just needed the mufflers so no big deal. only thing is the inlets are 2". the way it looks is borla just makes a standard shell, most likely with 2.5" inner tube, then just necks it down to the size they want. so my theory is i could just cut the inlets off at the shell and weld in 2.25" or 2.5" pipes if i want. i'm just wondering if i really want to use this, should i really bother? i mean for a small block, i would think a true dual 2" system should probably flow just about all the exhaust gas i can make without forced induction. it's just a 355 with a 270-ish cam.
i figure i didn't lose either way. if they're too small or just not what i want, i can always hang them out the back of my v-6 240z track car.:thumbs:

2" them's primary sizes, I would want at least 2,5" duals.

Borla round mufflers ?? Is that like 4" OD ?? The core should be 2.5".... hopefully..... 2" is a little small.....
