Found these cool LED bulbs to replace the 1157 bulbs in the parking light housings.
Very happy with the performance and they are a really simple install.
Heres one during the mock-up stage

And a video of the switch back when the turn signal is put on. All I had to do was add a 50W resistor across the turn sig wiring. The bulb takes care of the switchback feature. These things are BRIGHT

The website I got them from sucks for linking to but go here:

and do a ctrl+f (PC users) for "80 Watt Cree Led White-Amber Switchback Bulbs"

Great find.
I'm a bit worried about the heat management.
It look like a awfully small packaging for soo much (16) of allegedly '5W' led module and the integrated current limiter. All heat emitters.
Usually you see a single of those modules (which contains several led emitter tightly packed) hooked to a CPU style radiator+fan.
That being said maybe they are cleverly handling heat issues and power management.
I'm really curious to know how they perform overtime.

Im a little curious on how long they will last too... The main "fog" beam is only 4 LEDs behind a projector style magnifying lens. The bulb assembly does get a little warm, but certainly not hot to the touch. I do love them though and if they last a few years Ill be happy to replace them with the same units

Found a Hong Kong LED light with 50 billion LED's seems to be colored yellow a bit, and so put that large setup over the food table.....works fine, brighter than the curly cue crap I removed....comes on instantly...but it's only a couple weeks old....

purchased off ebay.....15 bux with shipping....

WEE shell SEE.....

:drink:

Well..... One of the bulbs burnt up. Visible burn marks on the inside of the lens. Im going to order another one and hope that this one was a fluke. :chinese::suspicious:
