Clinging to my guns and religion in KCMO.
Well, made the last hauling trip north bringing my stuff up here to KC (Mo). Took about a dozen trips from Orlando, but I'm finally done. Now I'm just unboxing stuff and trying to find lost stuff. The property we bought is out in the boonies, so all I have is satellite web service. It's painfully slow! (Any suggestions are welcomed.) But, with the move done I can get back to finishing a couple of the car projects. Also looking forward to running into a few of the local VM guys around here.

Even though we only met once, IF I have you placed right, I hate to see you leave FLORIDA, Corvette heaven...for the frozen wasteland of MO.....

then again, if you see TimAT flip through, you can say hello maybe....

I think Durango Boy lived there too.....:D

hope your are on HIGH ground, what with the floods, surprised you could get there....

take care man....looking for some shots of the new pad/garage....:friends::friends: and IOU one....!!!

Too bad you left Orlando but wishing you all the best up there in MO where you got all that white crap during the winter month.... :1st:
Where are you now? East of KC near Independence or further out in the boonies ???

I'll bet it's good to get that behind you. I absolutely hate moving.

Jeebus, got THAT right, I been in this house since '97 this month....

and now to get my WIFE from moving the damn furniture around, so as I trip over it at night....

:cussing::cussing::smash::rofl::quote::eek::surrender:

I sure hope you did not get stuck with HughesNet. They have to be the
crappiest ISP bar none! Did you look into DSL? No FAP with DSL!

Welcome to Mo. I live north of liberty and west of Kearney off 92 and A. There is no cable out here where i live, had Hughes net for a while and switched to Clear a while back and it works better than Hughes Net.

Karsten,

I'm up on the north side of KC (along with a few other VM members). Be sure to give one of us a call if you find yourself up this way sometime.

Kevin,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm just up the road from you on 92. I'm hoping a few of the local VM members can get together sometime for some beverages and car talk.

Well, hey, sounds like I can certainly afford the drinks all around, then.

I would move there also, but that white stuff is annoying, and I am allergic to them spinning cloud dealies.
That being said, the Vettemod members of KC are the best. It's those So. Mo. members that scare me.:bump:

Well, I'm hoping I don't bring down the average too much. :D

Been spending the last few weeks doing move-in bullshit. Opening craploads of boxes and putting stuff away, fixing crap on the house, mowing the acreage, and a bunch of other life-sapping activities. I had hoped to get the '69 on the road, but Missouri requires a vehicle inspection to get plates. I looked at the list of stuff they check, and so far it looks like the only thing holding me up is a working horn. When I put the new suspension in I had to pull the steering wheel (and horn button) off to re-index the wheel. I had the horn button parts in a box (I was too busy tweaking the rest of the car to worry about spending time putting the stupid horn button back on.) Well, somewhere in the move I've lost (or hopefully just misplaced) the button assembly. So, until I find the parts it looks like the car is just going to be a garage queen for a while (except for some planned track days).

Put Historic or year correct tags on the car and you wont have to go through an inspection. I have year correct tags,1 time fee of about $55 bucks,no inspections,no renewals.

Sounds interesting. Any details on the process, as I have no prior experience with historic type tags.

Thanks Kevin.

Here is a link you can follow. I called Jefferson city DMV,talked to a lady there and she sent me the paper work to fill out. Take a pic of the the year correct tag and send it in with the paper work and a check. it was very easy.
