I have seen many posts mentioning floor sag on glass floor cars while searching for my transmission swap, but very few mention what to do about it. What options are there for fixing this correctly?

Fiberglass is relatively easy to repair and your floor can be repaired similar to the repair on a battery box. I am not aware of a floor sag problem, but floor damage is common from driving up on high objects. I'd simply cut around the transmission tunnel side while staying low, continue around the firewall and along the rocker creating a hinge from the back section (this is at floor level). Cut out the required area to make the floor the correct level, grind a taper to the cut ends and glass the cut ends together with cloth and resin.

If you are talking about a sag limited to the center of the floor only, level it with a piece of sturdy plywood from underneith. Grind the section to be leveled down with an 80 grit paper and layer that section with some matt and resin. Remove the plywood after the resin has cured and you are done. If there are some high spots in the resin you can just grind them down. That is all there is to it.

The fiberglass floor is likely cracked from fatigue. The floor is flat, so just prop it up with a piece of plywood. Grind out the damage and lay in some matt fiberglass. The older Vettes use a polyester resin, the newer ones may use something else. But, as Red said, the fix is easy. George

I thought the floor was metal as well.

Thanks for the info. I found that the floor is loose from the firewall in a couple areas. Think I will leave it till later this year when I pull the body off the frame.
