Front sway bar sizes?

I'm fairly certain there's a 1" and 1-1/8th bar in between the 15/16th (does that even exist? I thought the one under 1" was smaller than that, in mm it's around 22-23 mm...have one lying around..but that's probably a 7/8 bar) and 1-1/8

I have a 1" bar, I think its from a mid 70's car. The early 15/16 is the F-41 bar and is fairly difficult to find at a reasonable cost.

I've got a 15/16" (about .930") bar laying around, along with a 1 1/8 inch bar currently on the car. It's been so long, I don't remember what came originally on the car (the 15/16" or a 3/4"?).
I'm just looking ahead, in case the rear bar installation doesn't get rid of the understeer sufficiently (which I'm getting presently after putting on the 1 1/8 bar). The 15/16 bar gave a pretty neutral handling feel, but there was more lean than I liked. I was kicking around trying to find/use a bar between those two sizes if I'm still getting understeer.

Mike, I just looked at the 1" bar I have. It's not a GM bar, it's a very old Addco bar.

Well, depending on how balanced the car feels after getting the rear bar attachments fabricated, perhaps I'll just take my calipers along with me to the next swap meet and measure a few of the bars that I see.

or you could sell me the calipers along with those insulated pistons we typed about........

I have a Herb Adams sway bar that would take down an elephant. I'm not sure of the size but one thing is for sure; once you get it mounted, it's the girth that counts most.

I did an online search and it stated that the H. Adams front bar as 1 1/4 and the rear was 1". The largest stock bars were 1 1/8 front and 9/16 rear.

Everyone is different. I time trial the car. I tried the big bar, 1⅛. I did not like the way the car handled. Too much understeer. I finally ended up with F-41 springs all round, the stock front bar with no rear.
