I have not had the vette out for 3 weeks,so i decided to take it for a spin yesterday and go to a car show. stopped at a gas station for a soda pop, walked around back of the car,and fuel was leaking on the ground, DAMM,Double DAMM.
Dropped the tank tonight and the return line was leaking, build sheet is trash.
I am going to sand blast it tomorrow, paint it and replace the lines. Anything else i should do to it while i have it down??
Inside the tank is clean, the plastic liner looks fine.

Both supply and return line crushed and turned into dust when I touched them.... replace both.... no need to drop the tank if you use SS braided hose instead of tubing, (that;s what I used)... replacement tank is $250 at Mid america.... might be an ok deal compared to blasting the old tank....

Well my tank is in good shape, just 31 years of dirt build up. I borrowed Tim's sand blaster and have plenty of media i use in my cabinet,so it wont cost me anything but some time, and i already have some silver POR15 paint.
I think i will follow your idea on running the line down to the frame, cant believe they ran the steel line all the way up and over the top of the tank, what a pain, not to mention i had to drain the tank.

You might want to check where both lines go under and behind the passenger seat, take 2
90s and go up and over the rr wheel. The lines lay against the frame and usually rot through and leak.
