fuel lines - a nightmare

I installed SS braided hoses that run from the tank to the stock pump, then aluminum line (3/8") from the pump to the carburetor with a filter in the line.

Now finally I want to install my Holley pump and run stainless tubing from the pump to the pressure regulator, SS braided hose back to the tank (return) and SS tubing from the regulator to a pressure gauge, filter and carb...

Here's what I have so far:

I fabbed a bracket to bolt the regulator to the passenger side cylinder head but I have second thoughts about that and think about mounting it on the inner fender instead...

.
I ordered all kinds of different fittings and adapters but I am missing the two 1/4" to -6AN ellbows for the connection at the pump...

.

Maybe I should install the filter between pump and regulator instead.... or before the pump... ???

I always hated wires... now I hate plumbing too..... :crap:

I"ll beat Kev's offer, I"ll buy the right parts just down the street here, and do the install, and you paint my car....

I have a side draft garage all set up.....the wind blows in the door, and exits out the back.....

:waxer::shocking:

Too funny....
Only put a filter before the pump if it is a large 100 micron style. Otherwise, put the filter before or after the regulator, which-ever works. I do not like any aluminum lines from the pump to the carb. Too brittle.

Same here, that's why I'm doing it all over again....:crylol:

Kevin, you're too far north and looking at the progress pics you're posting it doesn't look like you need any help :cool:

Gene, if you don't mind driving down here I can shoot the epoxy and primer... don't need a booth for that stuff, that can be done outside... you're going to sand it anyways...
