That was an interesting read. I had no idea that the spark was one of the limiting factors on how lean an engine could be run.

I used to LOVE working with guys in the electronics/physics lab, even the little bit I did, building stuff and bringing it to production, the creative challenge was hard, these groups above are doing the impossible....
and those electronic eyeglasses, I wear single lenses cut at ~3' computer length, good enough for passing a driving exam, but need a mag glass to read a phone directory, what a PIA....

I remember back in the mid/late 60's a friend had a 1/2 bastard '58-61 vette it was a splice together of two wrecks.....probably a NCRS show winner today.....

but he got his ass knocked in the weeds not ONCE, but TWICE .....
