We lost that show in Springfield Mass. but I am going to Chicago the 16th thru the 25th. Never been. What's a must do while there?hoto:
It rains pigeon shit downtown, got me a minute after I came up out of the subway.
Great 360 view and decent prices to have lunch at the the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building. Don't go at nite, it's black tie and you won't like the bill.
Nearby, take an onboard tour of a Nazi U boat at the Museum of Science and Industry. Great museum.
My wife grew up there in Beverly Hills, she went back to visit a few years ago, first time back in Chicago in 35 years.

Small world! My Stepfather grew up in Beverly. I grew up in Chicago.
Bird all good things that Nooni mentioned. If you have time to kill then also hit Navy peir...but that would be down on my list.
For the night life and all different kinds of music...hit Rush Street. For great Pizza and Italian hit Giordanos.
Are you working a McCormick? Just a suggestion, don't stay at the McCormick Hyatt. Not that it's a bad hotel, it's just South of everything you want to see.
If the weather is good, you should go see Buckingham Fountain and The Bean in Millennium Park. The Field Museum is and the Shed aquarium are cool if you need to do something inside because of the weather. I'm guessing you would really like the Museum of Science and Industry as Noonie said. You could spend an entire day there.
The Sears building is supposed to have a glass walkway that is on the top of the building. I haven't seen it yet but that would be cool, looking down 1000ft. Navy Pier is good on a nice day. Don't know if you are into architecture but the Chicago River architectural tour is great (boat leaves from the Navy Pier). If you are up there by the river, go to Shaw's Crab House on Hubbard. They have a fancy restaurant upstairs and a dive on the ground floor. Go to the dive, it's great.
At night, walk down by the river on Wacker an at least see the Wrigley building lit up.
Up north, you could go to a baseball game at Wrigley. Don't know if you are interested in baseball but you don't even need to go to the game. The area around Wrigley lot's of fum.
Let me know what show you are working. I will see if the guys from Czarnowski are working it. They can hook you up.
Museum of Science & Industry!! Even if nothing else, you must go there--and plan to make a day of it at least. (& yeah, that U-boat alone will affect forever the way you think about what man can & will do)
I forgot one. Don't know if this appeals to you but the Art Museum is one of the best in the world. Also, you have a 50/50 chance of good weather. Down close to the lake in mid-March, you could have a 60 degree and sunny day or 15 degrees with a 30mph wind!

Well, after working 14 hr days the whole time, I did not get out much. I did see where all these items are, and had dinner at Rosebuds last night. Best Fillet Mignon I ever had.
I may be back in May for 3 weeks, and if I do, I'll bring Mrs Bird.
They set me up in a suite on the 40th floor downtown. No matter how tired I was, the view at night was killer.
25* at night. Noflip flops this trip.
