This is a car that was auctioned at Barrett Jackson. This car looked very nice. Good paint, nice straight/well done bodywork.

Guess what it went for (winner gets a gold star)!

custom 68/69.... headlights, fender vents, flares....... 15" rims..... hmmm.... the sidepipe primaries appear to be for a small block.... hard to tell from just one photo... assuming stock suspension and brakes (15" rims) ... dunno... with a good running 350 and auto trans maybe 20K..... ok, BJ.... $100000 :trumpet::trumpet::trumpet:

Since you mentioned that it had nice straight body work, I'm going to guess low. I don't think you'd be selling it if you weren't trying to surprise us. I'll say $20K.

hard to say what with the mechanicals...updates/interior/etc....

I guess 20 grand....

It's not my car! I saw it when I was there, just wanting to see what you guys think it went for.

Does nice straight bodywork mean that the value is low? If the bodywork was crap, would it be high?

Nah, not by ME, anyway....these daze, I expect any custom to have decent paint/body work....it's the mechanicals that are typically hurting on those cars....

which is why I bought my car the way I did...paid 8 grand BUT the body was beautiful....in '95....but after !~25 years it was tired as me....

No, but if it went for a lot, you wouldn't be trying to sell it.

If a hot girl marries a Brad Pitt, no one would mention how hot the girl is, it's expected. But if a hot girl marries a fat ugly troll, it is relevant to mention that the girl is hot, because the result was unexpected.

OK, I'll try this again! It is not my car. I do not know who owns it and I am not trying to sell it. It sold last weekend at an auction and I did not bid and have NO FINANCIAL INTEREST IN THE SALE OF THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?

So, it's just a question, nothing more. I am interested in what you guys think this sold for.

Whether or not it was your car or you had any interest in it, wouldn't matter. In fact it has nothing to do with my point.

I meant sell, figuratively. As in, suggest that it was a nice car with a high value.

...Still 20K. Give it up.

I don't know what he means, literally or figuratively.

It's a real simple question, what do you guys think it went for?

my Mustang has good paint and a straight body but it probably never makes it to Barret Jackson.... i think 20K is a good number ....

You did understand it literally, that was the problem. :hunter:

Getting bored, how much?
