If you have ever driven a Bobcat, you know what this takes!!!!

I have. Funny story.
I worked at this rental yard about 100 years ago. This Bobcat came in off rent and it was my job to clean, inspect it and get it ready to go back out on rent. I had it on the wash pad when this new guy walked by.
Now I had seen people pull wheelies in Bobcats before but I had never actually done it. How hard can it be?
So me being the natural athlete I am, I yell "hey, watch this!"
I jump in and fire it up. Now those few of you who have met me know that I am, shall we say, "Ferrari sized". By that I mean I fit quite comfortably in just about anything from a 250 California to a Gemini space capsule.
The thing about being "Ferrari sized", and proportional, is that my arms aren't particularly long either. So when I jump in and ram the sticks forward to lift the front end, I have to lean forward. Well, when I do the Bobcat takes off like a bat, throwing me back into the seat. Of course, I yank back on the sticks which instantly throw it in full reverse. Now the Bobcat is doing basically a reverse wheelie and I'm about to fall out the front. So what do I do? Exactly what you would expect. I throw the sticks straight forward again, with exactly the same results as the first time, I get thrown back
Reverse wheelie
Forward wheelie
Reverse wheelie
Forward wheelie
Reverse wheelie
Forward wheelie
I don't really remember how many I did before it all stopped, it was kind of a blur. I do remember that the life-preservation section of my brain at some point said "just let go!"
By the time my brain stopped sloshing around inside my noggin the guy I was showing off to had fallen on his ass laughing at my stupidity.
True story.

You haven't lived until you've fallen over or overloaded the front bucket and rotated forward until you're facing the ground.

I have a case 1840 (bobcat-ish device)

Pushing 20 years ago, I was rebuilding a grossly neglected house next door to me....foundation through roof, wet basement too, and so we got about 25 yards of clean fill dirt trucked in think it was 13 yards per truck....tandem axle dump trucks....two of them.....maybe it was 25 yards/truck, I forget.....

anyway we rented a Bob, and so to move the dirt up around the foundation and rebuilt basement exterior stairs.....get the water to flow away from the house, not down to it....

So I started driving the Bob, and it was FUN.....but after a few hours, I decided to let my kids have some fun, it was my weekend with them....divorced....to anyway, the guys hopped into it and with some instruction and confidence building, they drove it, and did the work for FREE!!!!!

grinning all the way......:drink::drink:

I have and all I can say is I never realized there was anyone in this world that had the talent to do what they did in that video...........Holly!

clutchdust that's too funny!

You remind me when I was a kid and we had a go-cart track in town. Brookpark Rd. in Cleveland. We took this stuff serious! I've been trying to pass my buddy Billy on the outside for at least three laps. Out of the blue Mikey a third flies up on the outside of me. I was so intent on passing the Billy, Mikey scares the crap outta me! I fling the wheel left slamming Billy, over correcting. So I reverse the process about eight times. Smacking Billy then Mikey then Billy, over and over, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam ......... Duh........ All in a space of about 8" on the sides. Well the guys running the track were not impressed at all. They didn't want to hear any explanation. They wanted to kick my ass, it came close to a fist fight. Luckily we were only thrown out for the day. Mikey did go on to race stock cars in the ASA Series several years later.

My cousin, my age near 70, grew up just off Brookpark Rd, on a street known as Brookside Drive....had a good size brick center hall colonial with a 2 car garage out back 6005 Brookside Drive....

I can't see the video for some reason but I watched Bobcat drivers during lunch each day at the smelter circa 1979. These guys were "break dancing" their 'Cats before the term was invented. One I recall did a spin on one front tire.

My one day of Bobcatting was a little different, mucking out a flood channel and dumping the debris as high as I could at the top of the 30 degree embankment. About halfway thru the day I managed to dump an entire load of wet mucky crap backward into the cab! But by days end I loaded four dump trucks of crap quickly and efficiently.

Don't ask me to do it again!

Yeah I've heard that name. I grew up in Northfield, live in ATL now. I think they tore the Ford Cleveland plant down over by the airport. There were actually two cart tracks on Brookpark.

LOL, first image I found with searching the road name, one of the cart tracks.
