Just finished upgrading my headlight wiring, and to be honest I was expecting more... everything is 12gauge wire triggered by 2 40 amp Hella relays fed right off the alternator. Each bulb has its own ground wire going to the frame. The high beams are pretty damn good (tinted aircraft landing lights :cool:) but the low beams are still crap. They are sylvania halogen sealed beam lamps. I guess its the beam pattern they put out that I dont like. It could definitely be wider. Without spending a fortune on Cibie or other high end lamps, are there better bulbs you would recommend?

Just mount two of these babies and put the generator in the back of the car. You should be able to see at least 3/4 of a mile down the road.

I dunno man, I got SO disgusted with them operating headlights, because of that geeky look, and HUGE holes in the nose...I hit a deer with them one night here in Florida, square UP, and busted out both operating mechanisms....

so in went Ecklers sugar scoops and the early geeky 4x5"? headlights,

and so I put in later Camaro 2.5x5"? lights on the same and reduced the opening by 50% on the fore/aft measure....

:smash::smash::surrender:

Not really a fan of most fixed headlights... I dont have any issues with the assembly, just the bulb output.

Jeff- These aircraft lights could probably blind someone a 1/4 mile down the road... Your lights could blind someone in the next time zone :rofl:
