heated mirrors

I would like to convert my power 82 mirrors to heated like my 90 vette has. Anyone know how it works such as do wires go into the mirror itself, could my 90 mirrors be cut down to fit the 82 mirror housing?

Or has anyone tried 90 style mirrors on a c3 and how do they look?

The camera enclosures we use at work have small 12v heating elements in them that might fit inside the mirror housing that could work. They're low current, too. I will try to find you a part number for one of them.
