Just joined up.
I recently picked up a 69 350 convertible 4-speed. It was sitting iin a barn (literally) for the past 10 years at least. Its up and running now, but lots to do...interior is a mess, lights don't go up and down, wipers don't work, power windows don't work, weatherstrip all bad, and on and on and on. :noworry:
But man the side pipes sound awesome and burnouts up and down the street sure are fun!
Now, just to get it set for a vintage track day or two...any suggestions as to where to start are definitely welcome! (have to at least TRY to stay within sight of dad in his C6)

Welcome to the motley crew....

pix and news about what you want from the car....

Pix will have to come later, as I don't have any good ones yet. It is just a basic black on black 69 with black side pipes and Rally wheels.
What I want from it, well everything of course! ;)
Basically a canyon-carver type ride, I think. I come from mg's, Porsche 914's and motorcycles and like the twisty bits most. This is my first foray into muscle cars and the first v8 I have had to play with. I hope for the car to see some track days, but don't care to end up with a track only car, has to remain streetable. The engine is non numbers matching so original show car is out... Basically a fast road toy that can turn fast too and puts a smile on your face as the smoke comes off the tires when you drop the clutch.

Just your basic hooligan car!!! :)

Good enough?

OH, the trouble we can get you IN!!#$#$!!:friends:

Trouble usually indicate a good time, right?!!!! Anyway, as I am only 36 and my father has yet to outgrow burnouts, doughnuts, late night runs at ludicrous speeds and other such fun, I figure there is lots of trouble yet to be had! :)
