Herb Adam's Vivant

Poor old Pontiac, damn shame to see that marque closed down, but GM was over prolific with names and badges for same shit for decades....IMO Pontiac was much larger here than Buick, so do Buick in China and keep Poncho here, shut down Buick, but then what would all the gray hairs in Florida drive??

I know those Kelsey Hayes 8 bolt drums well, had them on two of my 60's Pontiacs....actually 3 cars in there transferred one set over....They did some design work back when, before the .gov got involved and fucked up the industry....

I guess one of them old Ponchos is still running from the Texas cops, somewhere out in Burt Reynolds land....:yahoo: long story there....:yahoo::crutches:

Is that the same Herb Adams who did some aftermarket chassis stuff for the C3, somewhat in parallel with Dick Guldstrand?

Saw some of those monster KH 8-lug finned aluminum drums at a boneyard a few weeks back. Impressive, but I'll stick with my discs.

Might be up there again Friday. If they're still around, I might grab them.

Please at least take a camera with you, I very interested in the car they on....you know, those are SO rare, guys are relining the brake iron inside them....Guys like Ron Johnson of Potomac Pontiac maybe know the value today, they used to be high dollar items..special rims too, so grab the whole mess...I bet Ron's on the air, he a bit younger than me, and has a corner on Poncho parts, used to live basically next door to me up in Md.....

:bonkers::clap:

I think they were 8-lug Ponchos, but I might have been mistaken. Could have also been on a big Buick or Olds with 5-lug rims. The drums were some of the biggest I've seen on a passenger car.
