Just thinking out loud here... Id like to eventually get rid of my front/rear monosprings and move to a coilover setup. I dont really like the semi coilovers that will bolt right up, especially since my car is so low I already lowered the shock mounts to provide proper travel.
I saw these and I like the idea:

Anyone ever try anything like this or have any comments on functionality and/or benefit per PITA to install?
I also want to keep my monospring LCA's and modify those to put the coilover mount closer to the balljoint much like the monospring bolt is now. Besides spring clearance on the frame, any reason to NOT do that?
...Day dreaming in the heat while the AC in my shop attempts to keep it under 90* :ill:

Did it state that the shocks had 7" of travel? That seems like more that needed.

The issue that Im trying to "fix" is that even a normal length coilover is going to be close to the end of its travel at the ride height that I like. If I cant find any reason to not move the mounting point closer to the ball joint I will also be adding more movement to the stroke with more wheel rate (is that what its called?) Im not looking to get 7" travel coilovers, just something thats not super short
