I always tell my kids "remember where you live" when we see someone doing something stupid, well my older daughter went to high school school with most of these fools.....fortunately for her I don`t see her little red Hyundai Sante-Fe out there...

Just some good old redneck fun.
Don't see any problem with the idea, but I would be a little strict on the quads being on the same "track" as the full size trucks.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like fun and no one was being particularly aggressive. The ATVs just shouldn't have been out there at the same time. That could easily have ended tragically.

That's the roots of NASCAR---moonshiners challenging each other to see who's car is faster and having fun out in a field.

The original Daytona races were half on pavement, half on the beach. Drive there in the family car, tie a bit of rope around the door post to keep it from flying open in a crash. Put on your old leather high school football helmet if you had one. Some guys even went so far as to tie a couple pieces of rope from the seat frame up over their laps to keep from sliding around on the seat too much. Have some fun, hopefully drive the car back home.

Take your kids to the races. I wish my Dad would have. Looks like a lot of fun.

MANY MANY pix from the Fireball Roberts daze from the Pontiac groups....

and Daytona beach/track just down the road maybe 2 hours....

been a while....I took my kids, son and daughter to the races a few times, but we had more fun doing water sports/races.....

and it took hold pretty good....they still a little krazy....which is good....

I've always heard "Run what ya' brung"

Long ago in that land far away, it was a very heavy southern influence to the region.....I been gone some 14 years now, and surely they have drifted more liberal in that time, but I suspect the motor sports aspect has not changed a whole hell of a lot....
