Ok, pump is 3 months old. Had a fuel odor that I couldn't find. When working on my airboxes, the car stood still for a month now. I took a look at the fuel pumps and sure, the Holley 12-125 that I use as a low pressure feed pump, is weeping fuel from the bottom 3 allen bolts. I called Summit and the exchanged it pronto, so this is great, but usually they are not that easy.

So I wonder if more of these pumps have that problem and I might run into the same issue on the second pump. To take it out, is a mayor PIA, so I would not want to do it a third time.

Since they sent me a new pump, i tried torqueing the bolts a little more. 2 of them seemed to stop leaking but one does retain the fuel weep.

Anyone run into this ?

i used to run Holley electric pumps but the old red pump and sometimes the blue pump but they are different. once in a while a screw would come loose but i think it was to be expected. i think you will just have to wait and see. i would run it a while and periodically check things. if they start to leak this sorry excuse for government mandated fuel will destroy seals and gaskets in short order.

hm, we have ethanol in our fuel as well.

Anyone, someone that had a diagram of the pump said that the only way the pump could leak through those bolts was if fuel was getting up into the motor. Looks like I really need to change it.
Electricity, fuel and air do not go well together :twitch:
