and so Snopes says that it boils down to a GPS by Garmin, some 5 years ago....

BUT, the question remains about the Lithium batteries and shit.....they never really crossed that bridge.....real careful on that one....

Thought I did.....So they doubt the tale about the placement of the device, but like is popular today....'What difference does it make'......the things can overheat and blow up, and I never knew that, I leave my cphone on the charger overnight all the time, it's warm by AM, sometimes it beeps for being fully charged, asking to be unplugged, but we way across the house....I keep a charging station next to the kitch/garage door.....for all the battery devices....

I just really don't know just sitting here...don't want to research the specifics for cell voltages, I think ....a NiCad battery has a cell voltage of about 1.3 v DC. A lithium cell has a voltage of about 3.2 v DC. A lithium battery has a tremendous amount more energy then a NiCad. If a Lithium battery starts to burn, there's a serious problem....you can't put a lithium fire out with water...lithium will burn in water. A block of pure lithium has to be stored in oil. It'll start spontaneously burning in air and also start spontaneously burning in water........it won't start burning in oil!!!!

A lithium battery can create a problem if they short out internally..remember the Boeing 787 fleet was stalled for perhaps a year with lithium battery problems.
