Does it run off of GPS/Garmin type input, or off of a RPM counter on the driveshaft/teeth on the wheels???

very cool...I have been thinking of trying to add one in my C4, my daughters boyfriend is into the drifting scene and we did one in his 240sx, so while we were at the junkyard i grabbed one for myself, now I just have to figure out the hookup....he showed me on his forum that they use the HUD's from the vettes in their nissans..so i thought maybe i could do the reverse....think thats feasible?

Really? I am interested in this. Can you post a link to the Nissan forum.. I would love to adapt one for my '82 project.
