I have a TPIS ZZ9 cam in my '89 355 roller engine for some 13 years now, and so I am ready to swap cams sometime this winter....so Dave Amoroso and I were talking the other day, HE says I have to swap roller lifters if I swap that cam out....

I think NOT, I going to a milder stock L98 cam....

I fail to see I need swap out the lifters, unless damaged, of course....

so who is right???:crutches::noworry:

No you don't, if the rollers are undamaged, no pits, scores, flat spots.... you can reuse them. Have doe it many times.

:clap:

Thanks, that's what I thought, I even have some extras.....

:beer:

Gene, those things have been in that engine for 13 years, the real question is how worn are they, how many hard miles are on them. Same for the timing chain and gears. Then again, if the car just sits in the garage all the time and the engine doesn't have any miles on it....just say'n... :D
