Ya know what's funny, wife here really didn't believe it was true about the moon landings, and here she lived in Jax Florida about 2 hours north of Kennedy Space Center/Titusville for all these years, so when we were dating yet, I took her south to see the space center....we did the grand tour, and at the end....
we walked through the building with the moon shot rocket laying on it's side, taken apart in sections to see the plumbing and mechanics and oh shit WHAT all, little old bitty country gal changed her mind, we have anything to do with comets, space junk, landing, taking off, they typically fly right up the coast, dead north, and to we view easy in the eastern sky....she be out there looking now....pictures even....hell, she never been on a subway like in DC until we went there, I think she made one jet flight, on a business trip....
been several times now....

:lol::lol: Nothing for ROMANCE, but when I moved here in '97, I think it was that summer I took the kids south to see the space center and they were launching a shuttle the next AM, overnight at motel....out to the causeway to the island, and so watched from where we could, it was just over the horizon OR buried in clouds, and when that thing too off, from 5 MILES away that ground shook like earthquake, the noise was not to be shouted over, and that fireball appearing over the horizon was neat as could be, for a old burnt out tech head, that was just amazing to watch....scared hell outta the kids, they didn't know WTF to think...:devil::devil::stirpot::clap:
