This guy lives just outside my back door and is about the size of a quarter. Do I need to stay away from this one (knock down the web) or is it OK to leave him where he is?

I may hate pie but I LIKE spiders, I think the majority of US spiders are totally benign and should be welcomed. Here in Vegas we've had an influx of Black Widows as the humidity went up over the years and the Brown Recluse is a nasty bugger worth being educated about.

Otherwise, I had a big spider such as yours living in my garage window for months, he seemed to get used to me and went about his business as I did mine. He finally moved out which was fine as spiders seem to Shit an extrordinary amount! I had to repaint the windowsill!

I got told at check in a couple of years ago that my "travel bass guitar" was ok as carry on baggage but a tennis racket was not
