Incredible WWI Tribute In London Looks Like A River Of Blood

That is an incredible display. WW1 has been so overshadowed by WW2 that people fail to appreciate its magnitude. It's still largely misunderstood by all but the most well read historians.
Beautiful display. I wish I could see it in person.

That is fantastic - What an amazing tribute.

The Brits have a real sense of history and remembrance we tend to let slip away. Perhaps they take the lessons of the song; "teach your children well?" As that effort is not from the Nobelist of Generations, but their children.

Had a chance to visit the US Cemetery at Cambridge. These words were especially telling of their thanks to US:
THE AMERICANS WHOSE NAMES HERE APPEAR
WERE PART OF THE PRICE THAT FREE MEN
FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THIS CENTURY
HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PAY TO DEFEND
HUMAN LIBERTY AND RIGHTS
ALL WHO SHALL HEREAFTER LIVE IN FREEDOM
WILL BE HERE REMINDED THAT TO THESE MEN
AND THEIR COMRADES
WE OWE A DEBT TO BE PAID
WITH GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THEIR SACRIFICE
AND THE HIGH RESOLVE THAT THE CAUSE FOR WHICH THEY DIED
SHALL LIVE ETERNALLY

For the second time...We've been called before - and will be again - how can we ever refuse to answer?

Vote (responsibly) .
