I am being audited by the IRS, God knows why, I am such small potatoes. The audit started last year, I was interviewed with my Accountant then told that I was not needed anymore, that my Accountant can answer the rest of the questions in the audit.
Fast forward to the present. I received a letter several weeks ago from the IRS explaining that the allowable time for my audit has expired and them asking me to grant them permission to extend the allowable time.
WTF!???!!
Like I want the IRS up my ass any more than "time allows"?
Would the IRS or any other branch of .gov grant ME an extension if I had a case against them? NO FUCKING WAY! The .gov stacks the chips in their favor. And here my accountant goes and signs the agreement without consulting with me first. My signature is still required but I am not inclined to cooperate! It even states on the request from the IRS that I am not compelled to agree nor am I deemed uncooperative if I do not agree, so why should I?
