I was mounting my wiring harnesses again in the car and took in detail. Seems that bubba has been in there . A lot of things were spliced etc. Repaired most of it.

I hope that the car will still start and work if i get her complete again.

Gotta love Bubba. And I say this as a reformed Bubba. I think most of us started out as Bubba and grew (or are growing) into real mechanics. I think back to my first few cars and can't believe the stupid shit I did. Of course, I ended up having to re-do most of that a few times before I finally Bubba'd it good enough to last longer than I had the car.

Damn....we have the same history....although, me growing into a real mechanic is somewhat of a stretch!!!!!

It'll be fine.....just as long as you did not follow bubba's lead.

I had to undo all the spliced wires, find out which colors are the same and reconnect things. There were a couple of things that were done, some good, some bad.

Bubba installed an DIY alarm and cut into all the startwires etc., which I had to redo. Bubba installed another more modern radio, but all the wires have different colors and it is impossible to know what servers what. I have to go back to the original system, but then i'm stuck with the original radio system as well.

Then there is a more refined part (being a original Belgian car, this was probably done at the dealership and necessary for the admission of the car in Belgium/This part is actually a part i would like to keep), we're talking about a fog light, the white lenses that were coloured orange and used as signallights and a change in the sidemarkers (which are forbidden) where the wiring is used to use the front lights as stand lights...

It would be simple to just undo all the splicing and go back to the original system, but then I loose the more refined part.

Then there is the auto to manual conversion : normally the car originally won't start unless in park. With the manual this is not necessary. No idea how the tackled this one.

Lot's of work.:cussing:

Run the purple park switch wire thru a clutch switch as a safety.:thankyou:
