i have to say i did the worst job you could ever do on your car. today i removed the rear bumper. if you've ever done this, you know what i'm talking about.
i think i'd rather disassemble the bottom end of a motor through the tailpipe than ever do that again.

It's definitely up there as far as shit jobs go - I especially liked the 27 years of dirt that fell into my eyes and mouth as I removed mine... :tomato:

the front bumper is worse there are nuts close by the sidemarkers that are hardly accessible

yea, especially since the studs rust to hell. I left all the studs and nuts off the back bumper since the tail light assemblies actually hold it on fine.

when i replace the front i'm just going to cut it off with a knife then use some silicone sealant to hold the new one on. There are just too many cumbersome jobs on this car so we have to get creative.

My new rear bumper came with T bolts and nuts but they'll really only be used to hold the bumper in place while the 3M 8115 cures!

I already have a glass front bumper but I still need to back all the fastners off so I can fill the join with 8115.

Oh well, it keeps us out of the pub I spose...

I have 3 5/8 cap bolts per side in the rear, off there in in about 5 minits....

front bumper is two 5/8 cap bolts in center, plus one each end 9/16,....off in about ten minits....maybe less....

I don't understand you all's problems.....

:bounce::toothbrush:

If you replace them anyways just go ahead and cut.... then when the bolts are accessible it's a lot easier...
re-assembly with all clean parts isn't all that bad either.

Hmmm...mine came off pretty easily - a few bolts and it practically fell off. I think removing the rear trailing arms is a bigger job... ;)

Here's a tough one....C-3 'vert deck lid hinge assembly. Rates right up there with early C-3 coupe # 3 body mount cage nut.

Really?? I know I pulled mine with the #4 mount cup replacement some years ago, not all the difficult, just time consuming....course, as Usual, I cheated....

cut the replacment cups off on one flange, used stainless bolts/nylock nutz, and then burried the whole thing in a sea of epoxy when remounting it, so the main bolt from inside, goes down through to a stainless nut on the frame mount.....I modified hell out of it, in other words....but with all that epoxy in there, the body now sets on the bottom of the bucket, totally supported, that vertical bolt is IN there now...but it's stainless....

:devil:
