Happy New Year
And Belated Christmas - Hanukkah Greetings

New Years Eve Had a home made Surf and Turf. Artificially Raised Shrimp (?) and Grass Fed Steak (?) with Rice, Fried Green Peppers, Onions, Green Beans. Started with Cherry Tomato Salad, Lettuce, Radishes, Green Peppers, Pine Nuts and extra Virgin Olive Oil. The only Virgin left.

Had a good year, up 7% and did that without trying. With a Social Security raise and my Required Minimum Pension Distribution I’ll be set. LOL.

The recent change to the older segments of the Corvette Market has resulted in higher prices and lots of parts on BO. Methinks the 2 quasi hedge fund owners that are re-running parts are not re-running parts. Many CC and Para-gone parts say “usually ships in 93 days”. Perhaps waiting for orders or the boat has not left the South China Sea yet. Hopefully not the latter.

In this mature 53-82 market the only real way to increase market share is by purchasing your competitors. Honda and Nissan joining. And that is exactly what happened to 7 or so of the top 10 or so vendors. I don’t think these new owners are as enthusiastic as they were 2 year ago. They raised prices, raised minimums and prohibited advertising prices below their list. Well that MAP, Minimum Advertised Price policy was rescinded this December by CMD, RPUI, AAA. For weeks AAA has resent a daily email with sale prices. The older niche 53-82 market is getting smaller. When I sell out, seldom does it get restocked.

C4’s are dead, I cannot get 20K for a low milage 99 with the $3,000 Italian made Magnesium RPO ??? wheels - C6, C7, C8 - Collectible - nah. Drivers. Those 1999 $3,000 RPO wheels became a $2,000 RPO a year later in 2000. AAA has done the same with many of the interior colored parts they supply. Their list is lower that what we paid for some. Got taken by GM and now AAA departed Dan from old East Lyme, CT.

Only 19 more days until SOME of the illegal, deceitful, pornographic, lawless, traitors and grifters are gone from DC. I LMAO every time I play this meme even linked to it at work.

(this is a repeated link to Credence

I have a Credence Clearwater Revival album with Fortunate Son from 1969 - I saw them In 1969 at Woodstock. Fortunate Son was an anti Vietnam and establishment anti war song. In 1968 I got drafted and failed my physical due to a separated shoulder. I could barely raise it above my head without dislocating it. An old football injury - I went to tackle a much bigger guy and he ran thru me and tore my right shoulder socket apart.

Rock On, Have a Healthy Happy Safe Prosperous New Year

PS: And EDC for personal and familial safety. In this chit hole of Bridgeport CT a few weeks ago a non-student ethnic shot another non-student ethnic inside the Univ of Bridgeport Marina Student Dining Hall for those living on campus. Long ago I ate there as a student and the only excitement was a coed we called ATandT. She was a striking piece of female beauty. Ass, Tits and Teeth. Hot. Sad event at my alma mata.

And Now Dec 31, 2024 New Years Eve a person was shot in the chest at Central H.S. Bridgeport, CT.
I taught science, biology and chemistry there and learned later of one of my students carried a gun in his briefcase.

I am disgusted with government, education, crime.

Happy New Year Doc. Price fixing for anything you buy these days, appears to stem from Amazon policy. If an Amazon seller gets caught selling a (usually China) product at a lower price, they are banned from Amazon. I remember when that was illegal.

I have never bought anything from Amazon and, God willing, never will.

Amazon and Capitol One Fornicated Me

Many years ago I applied to be a merchant on amazon.
Along with business name, address, bank, credit card info, they required my Federal EIN number. The Employer Identification Number is what the IRS (?) requires if you have employees. Well they told me my EIN was the wrong number. Considering that I had an EIN decades before amazon existed and knew it backwards and forwards just like my SS # and CT Tax # it could not be resolved.

Well this impasse became an internet nightmare. I abandoned the merchant idea and politely declined to “join” amazon. Even though I never got past the application, never had a store, never advertised anything, never sold anything - they continued to charge my credit card a monthly fee.

Even with phone calls and emails they continued charging a monthly fee. Capitol One was the credit card and you know they kissed bezo ass and denied my chargeback claim. So I cancelled that Capitol One card. Those p*icks issued another card and actually gave the new card numbers to amazon and amazon continued billing. I cancelled that Capitol One also and paid all but the amazon charges.

For months every Wednesday I would get an email from Seattle with 2 different amazon employees soliciting money to start up a merchant account. This went round and round. Finally they agreed to a refund. But I would not give them a new credit card for a refund - so they asked for access to my bank account. That was such a Red flag - my better judgement said - naaaa. Never.

In the meantime Capitol One sold my “debt” that has passed through several collection agencies. It’s less than a few hundred and will remain uncollected. In a real world if I met up with bezo he would be paying me back wi.

FJB has 2 applications - one for joe and the other for jeff
two fornicating worms

I think that Amazon is as responsible for the decay in the world (not just the US) as Facebook and all the rest of the "Tech" companies that have brought about the collapse of society.

Amazon is called a "tech" company because they were so technologically advanced that they replicated a modern day Sears catalog 110 years later by putting it on the internet. I have been buying stuff from Mcmaster Carr since the 80's. I used to (and still do), get my order the next day. They didn't make me join a club for $200 a year. They just charged me discounted UPS standard fees. And Mcmaster is based in the US, has US employees, has warehouses in the US, you can actually talk to someone at Mcmaster, et.

Facebook is a "tech" companies because they figured out a way to turn an internet chat room into a global platform that turns members into a marketable product and markets that product to advertisers. BFD!

Rant over.
