The replacement LED tail light that I ordered from summit finally arrived. The old one had failed, it would only illuminate on the low output, the flasher or high output stopped working. I confirmed that it was the lamp by substituting one lamp with another, when moved to another socket it simply did the same thing. So I pays my money and I takes my choice and I orders a new one from summit. Then it gets lost in delivery and they ship a new one which takes another week to get here.
GOOD SO FAR...
Now I take the new lamp out to the garage and turn on the lights and the flashers just to make sure that I am replacing the right lamp and WTF??? they all work fine! :cussing:
Christine's got Gremlins in her tail lights.
I'll keep the new one on the shelf. I suspect that the old one may only work a bit longer before it fails again.:skeptic:

I bet Christine's gremlins are a flaky ground somewhere.

Both tail lights run off of the same feed on either side. When I switched the lamps around the defective one stayed defective so I know it was not the wiring. It is a flaky printed circuit board or a component on the board that is going bad in the LED light.
