L88 engine identification

Anyway to prove a true 69 L88 engine? engine stamp? I know the crank, cam, heads, intake, carb numbers. or is it a shot in the dark? Thanks for the help.

pad stamping...I believe for 67-68 it would include the letters IT for 69 the letters LO...
