Phantom of the Opera
Wife's Son In Law drives a black '98 S10 for a work truck.....like me, but much lighter duty work, he fixes houses for a prop mgmt. company.....
so we muct have had like 6" of rain yesterday/PM.....so of course he running work and just getting home to over a foot of water on the street.....
floods out he S10, engine dies in his driveway....UH OH......
it's only maybe 3 miles to get there, so no biggie, I flip over and the starter is not even trying, water flooded it out, so 130 bux later and some aggravation the starter is new, engine was protesting something FIERCE....
not just a wet air cleaner, but shot past the MAF screen/sensor, wet the stupid accordian hose, down the bonnet and into the intake....out comes 6 plugs, it's a 4.3.....so we turn over the engine like crazy mad with no one home, and the water comes outta them cylinders like a garden hose....
wets the entire undercarriage......new plugs, WD40 down the tbody, clean out all the water from induction.....engine catches, and so it's fine....new anti freeze and oil/filter, good to go.....3 hours total time....
Just so you all know, NEVER drive under water, MMMMKAY???
