:shocking:

finally got the pix uploaded to the photobucket site, take a look at how to get bark off a tree in about 1 nanosecond,

and some pix of the new paint/bumper on the Jed's Clamper project....

click view all for more pix.....

Same thing happened on a large maple on my back property...only difference is that the top 30 feet of the tree came down.

The camper is looking real good on the outside:thumbs: How's the inside coming along?

SO freeking HOT that by 12 it's well over 90f and humidity to match....

so I got the outside done about a month ago, before it REALLY hit, and have basically stopped work since...I suppose I should do something early in the AM, but have house roof project/work now...heat got to the plywood under the shingles...so to screw them down from above, seal hell outta it, and putting a cool white over the shingles....it's a killer up there about a hour of that shit, and I'm wiped..:banghead::ill:

to boot at the white coating reflects the sun right back at me, it's over 50x the radiation....that shit bounces forever....spot this house from the MOON when I"m done....

:shocking::p

What will the screws say about the stop sign on the side?

Don't be a pus

I've spent the last 2 days outside digging in the sun down here. By 10am heat index already 100F
On the roof wear a big straw hat and don't forget the sunglasses, othewrwise you'll be blind from that crap.

Put some of that stuff on the roof of the camper too.:p

I have called the FHP about the stop sign, they scratched around and said it was legal....i'ts bee repainted red, anyway, so just the word stop is reflective anymore....

the top of the camper is already paint bleach WHITE, and so should be cool....and yes, sun shades, and a hat....

you know what the guy at HDepot said about that elastrometric coating??

he is from the islands, and he says they just overlap plywood on the roofs, and paint it white with that stuff, straight up....and they never leak, and stay white, don't even blow off in 'cains'.....interesting.....

sorta lend a whole new look to the 'hood'.....:quote::bounce:

Did the same thing to a flat patio roof, except just butted the joints like normal, put some fancy 5" wide fabric over the joints like doing drywall and coated with the elastomeric. No leaks and a cheap fix compared to a new hot mop with permits etc.

Here is another use for the roof coating, intake plenum for the air handler. Tenants don't like to change filters and the evap coil gets completely plugged, with the proper way to clean is to evac the refrig, remove the coil etc, a real pita. So I put a drain in the floor, sloped with mud, fiberglassed the bottom up about 8" and painted everything up to the airhandler iwth the roof coating. Now I can just go in there with coil cleaner and a garden hose without screwing anything up.:bounce:
