low out at 186mph

There was a Youtube video I watched a few months ago...it was someone running a C6 Z06 from a standing 1 mile acceleration to break 200 mph at the end of the standing 1 mile. Interesting that he was close to the 200 mph speed, the road had a dip. The car bounced into the air. Either engine torque or perhaps the dip was not orthogonal to the cars forward velocity, the car landed back on the pavement slightly sideways. The car went into a sideways slide and was going to spin out of control...but...the car had a drag parachute!! At around 200 mph, the C6 driver popped his parachute. With the 'chute the driver had a non consequential slow down.

Bottom line.. if you have a high performance car and want to push it to the limit it's just not a matter of pushing the gas petal to the floor. In the high speed MPH realm, things can go seriously wrong that don't occur at lower speeds.

I was watching a Youtube video...it was a Z06 and the driver was attempting to go 200 mph in the standing mile. At around 200 mph, there was a slight dip in the road...the car went airborne slightly and, due to perhaps engine torque or perhaps the dip was a little sideways to the line of travel, he landed going sideways. He looked like he was going to loose it...then he popped his 'chute! He had mounted a drag chute...he apparently knew what kind of dangers can pop up at 200 mph. The tire blow out and this video makes me rethink ever trying to go this fast.
