LS7 titanium rod weight?

Just curious how much weight was saved (considering the expense) when Chevrolet went with the titanium rods in the LS7 engines.

Thanks.

I would suspect lowering the centripedal force, along with added strength was more the intention.

I'm aware of that. I'm just trying to see how much the 427 LS7 rods weigh compared to Mk IV 427 rods. The rods I put in my engine are 800 grams. My engine has a 3.76" stroke, whereas I believe the LS7 rods have to contend with forces due to a 4" stroke (and a higher redline).

If I'm not wrong they are 480 grams!
The rod is 0.003 shorter than the nominal 6.100"...... titanium is light and strong..... but some elasticity must be taken in consideration!
