They say the two best days in a boat owners life are the day they buy it and the day they sell it. This has to be better than those days:

OH the times I remember towing a power boat up over mountains in Maryland....

not that hazardous a road, being interstate, but I planned the loading a bit more carefully, to say the least....

used to go in on a 10% grade 4 miles up hill pull, about 8000 lbs total weight, and open up that Pontiac 462 with the DPFI on it 1000 cfm throttle body, did that install in my garage with a helping hand from a TIG welder guy.....

that was FUN, going in at 80, open the throttle up, hear the MOANNNNN and ROAR of the duals....so WOT for 4 miles, near 100mph at crest of the mountain, under the Appalachian trail....lift when seeing the golden arch footbridge, instant slo down.....NFW going down hill with that rig at that speed....

the Goat and the Boat, the kids LOVED IT.....:D

this guy though, that boat did not have enough tongue weight on the back of that tail assed light pickup, bet on it....

Back in my boating days I had a fully loaded Four Winns 268 cabin cruiser. I needed a weight distribution hitch to drag it around with my Expy. I was right at the expy's limit on that one. Only trailered it between the lake and intercoastal. Really had no problems.

Break Open Many Thousands!!!!! I loved that cruiser, but it was costing me a fortune:(

during the early 90's I bought a used boat from a buddy who owned a land locked marina, it had a 350 chebby in it, and I tried towing backing up my drive with it ONCE, and took it back....too heavy for the Goat....

got one with a 2100 cc Volvo/IO on it, put injection on it, ran with a GM computer run like a charm....fast little sucker after the injection was on there...kept it 5 years for the kids, and sold it at a 1000 buck loss....200 bux/year, not so bad for all the fun....
