Psycho bike gang swarms Man with child and wife in car.
The one bike stops short in front of the SUV and gets hit, then all hell busts loose.
 
So far, the only headline I've seen that even comes close to accurately describing the situation is ABC's which says "Motorcyclists Pull Driver from Car in NYC, Beat Him After Collision" - the SUV hit one of the riders first, then things went straight to hell.
 
Keep reading. The guy in the car had already been, and I hate using this word, "terrorized" by the motorcycles. One jumped in front of his car and slammed on his brakes, they all surrounded him. When they forced him to stop and tried to get him out of the car he jumped on the gas and drove off. OVER one of them. Then the fun started. He was trying to get away and finally got hung up in traffic- where they broke into his car with helmets.

The scooters were riding to an event called Hollywood Stuntz. They basically go as stupid as you can get and not lose any skin to road rash.
It's also noteworthy that a good number of the bikes were off-road dirt bikes, not street legal by any definition, and also a number of off road quads.

Calling them "bikers" is an insult.
 
It started off with a collision (who caused it, I don't know), then they surrounded and started beating on the SUV, who ran over several of the bikes (and riders) while trying to escape.

Other than the bare, basic facts of the situation, I doubt that any of the media idiots are getting the story right. Probably one of those things where no one was really in the right.

I agree with Tim on this one.

Just a bunch of savages looking for troubles.
 
The guy that got run over (a father of two if I heard the news correctly) is indeed paralyzed. His mother was saying that all of his ribs were broken and that his back was broken in two places.

I feel bad for the guy who got run over.

I feel bad for the guy who ran him over.

The rest of those assholes aren't fit to breathe the same air we do.
