I finally un-wrapped the vette as the flooding is under control and my area stayed dry. Now for some reason the motor stumbles and runs like crap. It idles but when I start off the motor does not want to take the fuel so I have to give it loads of gas and ease the clutch out. But this happens in all gears it wants to stumble and runs like crap. Giving the gas slowly it is bucking like crazy so I clutch and give it gas but it is jumpy.

The carburetor is a 750 Edelbrock.

Check if the floats are not stuck and it's spweing fuel out of the float vents into the bore

Thanks TT

Tomorrow I will be draining the gas tank, cleaning the carb and filters. I think it is the gasohol 95 that was in the tank. Many friends have had problems with evaporation when sitting for sometime. The gas when it evaporates leaves a mess when the alcohol evaporates. :bomb:

I hope that does the job???

Also, since you had it in the bag, you might want to check for any condensation problems in the distributor.

OK today the problem is solved. one of the idle holes was blocked. Cleaned he carb and its good to go.
